Poetry, stories, and genealogical notes written by Mary Henkel Warner and newspaper clippings about her are on microfilm. Manuscript and printed materials related to Tangipahoa Parish consist of a Women's Christian Temperance Union minute book (1915-1926); a gas station ledger (1917-1919, 1921); a 1930 map of Hammond, Louisiana; and various newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and photographs. The photographs are of hooded Ku Klux Klan members, two banks, and a group of children.

Temperance organization founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1874. Campaigning against the use of alcohol and in favor of labor laws and prison reform, the W.C.T.U. became one of the largest and most influential women's organizations of the 19th century.
